Sump Pit Excavation & Installation
Not all homes have a sump pit — and many older ones have pits that are too small, improperly located, or made of concrete buckets that have cracked. We excavate properly sized pits, install quality plastic or precast concrete pit liners with tight-fitting lids to prevent radon and odour entry, and connect them to your drainage system.

Primary Sump Pump Systems
- Pedestal pumps: Motor sits above the water, making it easier to service. Ideal for narrow pits.
- Submersible pumps: Sits inside the pit, quieter operation, handles larger volumes of water.
- Cast iron vs. thermoplastic: We recommend cast iron models for longer life and better heat dissipation.
- Proper sizing for your drainage area and pump cycle calculations
- Discharge piping run to appropriate discharge point (away from foundation)
Backup Sump Pump Systems
Your primary pump will fail eventually — and it will likely happen during the worst storm of the year. We strongly recommend a backup system for every home:
